Hi, Bobcats!
I am Dr. Patterson! I am originally from Tuskegee, AL. I have been in the field of education for 19 years. I spent the first 10 years as an educator in Alabama. During my teaching tenure in Alabama, I taught 7th grade science, 1st grade and kindergarten. I also served as an Assistant Principal for 2 years. In 2014, I relocated to Houston County Georgia. I joined the Houston County School District as a kindergarten teacher at Bonaire Elementary School in 2015. Currently, I serve as the kindergarten Early Intervention Program teacher at Bonaire Primary School. I am passionate about teaching and strive to make my students comfortable within my classroom while providing a challenging and rewarding experience.
My educational background includes:
* Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Auburn University at Montgomery (2004)
* Master of Science degree in Instructional Leadership and Administration from Troy University (2009)
* Specialist in Education in Educational Leadership from Columbus State University (2012)
* Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Leadership from Columbus State University (2018)
* K-12 Reading Endorsement (2020)
I have been married to my husband Eric for 7 years. He is a retired Captain from the United States Army. We currently reside in Warner Robins, GA. In my spare time I love to bowl, read, and spend time with my family and close friends.
